Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd carries out a range of certification and consumer protection activities all of which promote renewable energy and the circular economy. Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd's activities fall under three headings: consumer codes, certification schemes and registration schemes.
Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd has since 2006 taken the core consumer protection criteria first developed by the Office of Fair Trading and applied them to the small-scale renewables sector. In this way Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd strives at once to promote the sector and protect consumers.
Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd has been working with a range of partners since 2010 to deliver certification schemes in the areas of biogas and bioenergy. Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd can ensure that a range of sector participants are complying with the standards, whether EU, UK or GB-wide, relevant to the products and services they produce.
